Background
Kim is an artist and graphic designer with a passion for textile art. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Textile Design from UC Davis and continued her career as a graphic designer working for Atari, Adobe, and Apple Computer.
Current Projects
Kim’s new work focuses on nature inspired themes and is all about "fiber". She uses local plants for natural dyes and botanical prints. She transforms her textiles into art, scarfs, clothing, books and more. She enjoys using traditional textile techniques in new and creative ways.
Instead of a blank piece of paper, she starts her creations with a blank, usually white piece of cotton, silk or wool.
